Eyes of a Dallas Native

I was born in Dallas, Texas in 1965. My parents were both born and raised in Dallas, and they met while they were attending college at Southern Methodist University.

I grew up in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas. I went to public school at Thomas Jefferson High School, where I was involved in the debate team, the drama club, and the student government.

After high school, I attended the University of Texas at Austin, where I majored in English. I graduated in 1987 with honors.

After college, I moved back to Dallas and worked as a marketing manager for a large software company. I worked there for 10 years before starting my own marketing consulting firm.

I have been married for 25 years and have two children. We live in the Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas.

I am a member of the Dallas Rotary Club and the Dallas Museum of Art. I am also a volunteer at the Children's Medical Center of Dallas.

I am passionate about education and community service. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background. I am committed to making a difference in the world, one person at a time.

Through this blog I hope to help visitors and residents alike, find new favorites around the city of Dallas.

My name is Anne Smith
